Irritation of the nose, throat and lungs is associated with excessive exposure to ammonia, which may occur when large volumes of product are used in an area with limited ventilation. GAC-400 Acrylic and GAC-900 Acrylic contain formaldehyde, which may irritate the respiratory system, or cause allergic reaction in sensitized individuals. See “Additional Hazards” for formaldehyde, below. Overexposure to dusts and mists from sanding and spraying may be irritating to the respiratory tract. Chronic exposure to dusts and mists may cause pulmonary diseases.
